I don't think that's a spoiler, it's actually a staple for the shounen series.
It doesn't help that nobody is outright evil, meaning almost every fight is Anti-hero vs Anti-hero, and if you think about it, you could easily see Fairy Tail as the villains if not for the rose tinted glasses the author seems to be wearing.
Moral of the story: Anything short of murder seems okay, so long as you treasure your friends.

Ah, the Fairy Tail villain who inevitably turns good, happens at least once every arc, it would seem.
