The right thing in this regard being the slating of a religion's figurehead on a forum attached to a game targeted at thirteen year olds? Ignoring the fact that Islam wasn't relevant to the discussion in the first place, I just don't understand what you're trying to achieve here. We're here to roleplay and write stories. I don't get how being anti-Islamic is going to aid in our writing capabilities in any way. Spreading your counter-ideology here isn't going to improve the community. If anything, it might discourage other users from taking part on this forum.

It just seems more prudent to me to save your views on Islam for a situation which actually requires views on Islam, rather than shoehorning them into the conversation. Hags be hagglin', gods be god damn crazy, it's all happening ogre at Into The Fire

No, I would like a metal for doing the wrong thing, please. Because apparently that's what I'm doing right now, by not vocally condemning long dead controversial figures. Never mind that this is not the place for such topics.

The truth, Azi, is that we are trying to walk away from this arguement, and that you can't let it go. We don't want to go any further into a discussion that will ultimately do nothing but stir up tempers and attract the mods.

Yes, it was the right thing to do, criticizing evil is the right thing to do, better to go against it in person as I do in real-life; I don't know why there is an issue in that. My reply to Lilli was only directed to Lilli, I was not expecting other people to put themselves into my comments. Yes, I am writing stories and RPing, I have finished two RPs today. Openly going against evil content does improve writing abilities, it worked for me in this case, though it may not work for others. Spreading condemnation against an ideology that promotes evil is indeed better for a community, though I am open to the goodness in it. I don't want to be with people who support evil.

Again, I have not put people into this conversation, my first comment was a reply to Lilli and only to him, other people joining is of their choice*

I don't want to argue either, but I feel as though I must reply to everything directed to me, it feels cowardly and dishonest to just ignore it.

Is it better for this community? Do you really think it will improve anything this subforum has going on for it? If you're wanting to encourage social change, don't you think there's a better platform for it? Why do you think Islam is such a pressing issue for the Roleplay and Stories forum? Is there a problem rife in this community that you're trying to combat? You're the only person who ever brings up Islam. No one else here is that entrenched in ideological warfare that they bring it to their hobby .

You have no idea what our views on Islam are. We're not trying to 'support evil', we are saying this is not the correct medium for this discussion. No one comes onto this subforum searching for an ideological debate. Writing is a form of escapism , we haven't come here to address the world's issues, we've come here to get away from those issues.

But no-one is offended here, and the limited audience that we are have had a consistently mature, proper, reasonable discussion. Yes, there does seem to be a big deal about being offended, though in real-life, I have not experienced it myself. I went to college, university, work, outside, shopping, and I was always honest, and nothing happened. Unless there's something I don't understand or that I am missing something important, there does not seem to be anything wrong. As the others mentioned, a long-dead figure isn't anything to worry about, he's not gonna feel bad.
