Oh my, it seems Kuro's sword is quite the legendary blade!

I'm not sure if it is well known or not, but if the Inquisition finds out they aren't going to leave that blade in the hands of a demon. The Northern Chapter would want it destroyed or locked away, since it contains demonic energy. The Golden Chapter would most likely try to use it for themselves. The Eastern Chapter would probably put it in their Grand Inquisitor's personal trophy room.

Am I the only one who is a bit alarmed by Kuro's sword? He essentially becomes more and more powerful with each demon he kills, and will eventually snowball to the point where he is unstoppable.

In my opinion, it wouldn't be too bad if Kuro's sword were something like Silverlight from Runescape - a sword that customises itself after each worthy demon it kills, infusing itself with what made the demon strong in the first place (ie. ability, skill, shape). But that's just my take on it.

Is that actually canon? I thought Silverlight just turned into Darklight because it was tainted with Denath's blood, which was a unique case.

But then again, they did remake Demon Slayer for literally no reason at all.

The sword was tainted with the blood of an exceedingly powerful demon - not the run of the mill lesser or black demon you farm for slayer assignments. It's my theory that, even though the demon was weakened at the time of summoning, Silverlight's enchantment recognised that the demon was stronger than it's own enchantment, more or less corrupting itself with the demons blood so as to 'level up'.

Though, to be fair, the only credible lore I've found on this was that a guy called Wally held the sword ages ago - and as far as we know, we're the only person who has actually used it to kill a demon.

Sorry, didn't think the weapon would be op. I was more thinking of brief boosts that would fade away over time. An archdemon would be a different story tho I'd think, it would fade away but it would hurt him immensely.

It would be the same concept as his aura ability. The stronger the energy the brief power would be great but the end results would be deadly if not dangerous.
and nothing was spoiled :P

I'm sticking to the theory that, upon killing an extremely powerful unique demon and being stained by its blood, as well as having been in the presence of one of the most evil men (Evil Dave) alive only recently, the blade became corrupted.

So I am going to be making a character for this. Eventually. I can't promise anything beyond making it, but I'm at least going to do that so I'm not so horribly left out and can at least feel like I'm relevant when I don't take part in the discussions here. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Guthix claimed to have made the sword in a god letter.

Your claim is invalid.

God letters aren't canon. How else do you explain Zamorak acting like a completely evil ****, when really he is a good-intentioned but really really dumb ****?

Honestly, that Dishonor Among Thieves quest killed Zamorak's character for me. It reduced him from this big bad villain to a dude who was reduced to a crying, begging heap, and nuked an entire continent by accident.

Jagex believes we're all Saradominists at heart, and thus are trying to make gods morally grey likeable characters by painting everyone (except Saradomin) in a good light.

I guess being a Saradominist really is a test of faith these days, given what little we actually know about Saradomin that might actually lead to us liking him on a personal level.
