I WILL.

I'm still deciding if I need to consult with Emo about whether or not I should introduce my character in a civilian mecha gambling brawlfest (and how much control I might be able to give away with that fight), or if he needs us to high tail it to the blackbird for the plot to begin. In the latter case I will simply imply the "Scarlett Seer" won spectacularly.

... Come to think about it, I don't think I've even asked Emo how common or popular mecha fighting is in terms of sports - would the more reputable people of iTV be able to crowd around the force-fields like a sporting event, betting on which giant robot would bash the nuts out of another? Or would this be a local or unviable backwater sport (like Basketball or Australian Rules... *trollbait*)

I think it's like NASCAR, the only people who consider NASCAR a sport are hillbillies and hicks. So not many people would even consider mecha fighting a sport, and they have a very compelling reason for thinking so.

Traditionalist Sports fans claim that a sport requires physical exercise. In NASCAR, all the Driver does is drive really fast and try to get 1st place, This would be similar in Mecha fighting, because, you are not using muscles to pin your target down. you are fighting with a machine.

What's the setting? Is there a setting? Do settings exist? Are settings things?

Original message details are unavailable.
Not particularly interested in getting involved in an RP where the GM has already structured the story so heavily that they already know exactly how the finale will go.

... It would appear that we have a critic on our hands. :P

Not the word I would've used, but I suppose you are a better person than I!

I don't know, I think people might be more interested if live rounds were used - add a sideshow drama and you'd have an interstellar wrestling match. Maybe add some kiddy meals and a playpen and It'd be a demolition derby for the whole family to enjoy.

I won't argue there are people that wouldn't be into that sort of thing, but I'm thinking mec* fights pose a lot more of a risk and skill than jumping in a NASCAR and driving in circles all day. I mean, at least with the mechs you could re-enact famous conflicts to help spread propaganda about the evil alliance pigs and their illuminati allies teach the kids some history and potentially help the military contractors liquidate their surplus and help people idolise the pirates military and all the work they do.

What do you think? ._.

Annie, you have to be involved with my threads to RP with me. =0

Preferably, all bios should be posted in the thread, as that way, it'll be easier for me to read and reread them. There are two prompts for character creation, one for making a major character, the other for a minor character; if you feel you should have short-term involvement, feel welcome to form a minor character, but be aware: temporary thread masters can decide their fate at will.

West,
The Gothic religion is dominantly on the mainland, but His Holiness attempts to propagate the religion everywhere. Albion/Britannia I would consider part of the Northern Dukedoms, which is also mostly monotheistic, but there are some barbarian and pagan minorities, so Albion would be mixed: most are monotheistic, but some hold to the old ways or paganism. The short story, your bio's introduction, decrees the environment of his or her locale. Short stories will somewhat supplement the main world, to tie the user closer to the bio's home.

There are less demons than humans, and less demons than monsters and giant animals; you can approximately say that humanoid demons number have one tenth the population of humans. Any demon can procreate with humans. The arch demons procreating with human women was actually something I did not think about!

How magical your bio is, is up to you. Since the main heroes will be cambions, they may be able to have powerful magic without any training, but ordinary people would need more training to do it. Suppose magical ability can be like natural skills: some people are born mages, some are not. But yes, things like throwing fireballs, casting arching magic beams, summoning demons, raising the dead, telekinesis, are all acceptable. I did not want to appear as limiting or hindering, so I feel that as a thread master, I should not be *the boss” and tell people what they cannot do. Users are open to using magic as fantastical as they wish, so long as it does not decimate enemies within seconds so to speak. Basically, magic can be akin to what is seen in popular video games, like Skyrim or RuneScape. How magic is used, such as using mana, the power of the mind, a magic staff, a ritual, are all acceptable and can form according to the user. I will update this in the guidelines.

In your example you posted, they are all acceptable. However, for balancing purposes, an arch demon's power could potentially offset or even overcome Excalibur's forces, depending on the arch demon, though I am keeping them secretive as a few are planned to be surprising.

I will update all topics in the thread accordingly.

When you explained this to me, my eyebrows went up. I am intrigued, what kind of risk?, I would say that the sport would have the mec* fighters be encaged in bullet-proof glass, so that they don't get a shot in the ribs heart or the head (Remember that Mec* fighting is a civilian recreational function, so bullets would be used here).
