... quick question. Do laser guns fire solid beams of light, Hollywood 'laser' pew-pew, or a mixture of both? At the moment I'm imagining something similar to Fallout, where Laser is the fast automatic weapon while plasma has slow(er) projectiles that deals more damage.

I have a plasma laser.
