Alright, one final question (hopefully.)

You said that religions rapidly declined after other species were discovered. Are phrases like "Thank God" or "Go to hell" still used, or did they eventually die out and become replaced with cool space lingo like "Thank the Stars/Space" or "Go fall in a wormhole."

Religions declined, but those phrases are still used, people have been sayng those phrases for millennia, they wouldn't die out, like religions. As it turns out, what I meant to say was thar religions didn't die out, they lost many adherents and had to change scripture and rhetoric to survive. As a matter of fact, in 2008, in real life, the Vatican changed it's rhetoric from "We are the only ones" to "There could possibly be other life out there" which The Catholic church stood by, until then. Another fact, The Catholic Church was so sure until 2008 that we were the only ones, that they burned the people who challenged it at the stake. (No, the Catholic* church did not burn people at the stake in 2008, it stopped around the 19th Century.) Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

Which really makes you wonder what's going to happen if we do discover other life and it turns out they have never heard of God. And why these people have no clue who created them will be called into question.

Of course, by then the Church might simply decide that God is only responsible for the creation of our solar system.

Anyways, enough talking; intro is coming.

Equipment Bio:

Equipment name: Laser Revolver

What does it do: It is a laser gun that looks almost exactly like a revolver, the main difference (on the outside) being the chamber. Instead of five or six bullets, it holds one large battery. While the Laser Revolver does need to be coc(pls no censor)ked like a regular revolver, you do not need to do so between each shot. It is more of a safety mechanism that allows the gun to fire so long as it is down, and does not go back up unless you flick it up.

On the side of the gun is a dial that allows the wielder to change the power of each shot, which in turn affects the amount of energy consumed. The dial has six settings. The highest setting consumes the entire battery, but emits a powerful blast that can tear through most shields and armor (with a small chance of the gun exploding in your hand.) The lowest setting simply gives a mildly painful burn, but has thirty shots.

The best setting for this gun is widely considered to be #4, if you are using a military-issue one. It allows five shots and is powerful enough to punch a clean hole straight through a human skull and weak-to-average shields, but unlike the higher settings it poses zero chance of exploding.

Who developed it: The human military is the weapon's primary manufacturer. Some pirates and illegal weapon companies have managed to produce and sell their own versions, but these are a lot less stable and present a greater risk of exploding.

Other: Just thought I'd leave this here. There isn't enough space in Gary's bio and I don't want to use up space on the roleplay thread. Gary's weapon is military issue.

Now, just out of curiosity, would this be considered an effective gun in Into the Void's universe? I won't be offended if you have anything to say about it; it is your world after all. I'd just like to know how it would fare alongside your typical laser pistol. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
