Your typical laser pistol would fire faster than your revolver, I assume, however, your revolver makes up for that lack of speed with the power of each shot, so I assume this would be effective, if you could aim it well, which as you said, he knows how to aim a weapon real well. I imagined it would have a pretty normal fire rate, or the fire rate would depend on the setting. It is only called a revolver because it looks like one and loading it is a pretty similar concept. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
