Ah, there it is. Annie the ten-year old professional swordswoman/archer/spy killing at least a dozen enemies, while taking two wounds that apparently have no affected her combat ability in the slightest.

She's been stabbed in the hip and the arm, so how is she walking fine and, for that matter, using a bow with such accuracy?

On that note... "killing most of them". So, Annie has killed over half of the attacking first wave on her own?

Yeah... being stabbed in the arm would disarm you, and being stabbed in the hip would completely disable you. As in, you probably wouldn't even be able to walk.

Oh, and there's also the issue of what are all these trained soldiers doing when the little girl they took prisoner has escaped and is running around with multiple weapons?

Edit: And that bow she grabbed... was it her bow that was confiscated? Because there's no way a kid her size can effectively use a bow designed for a grown man.

Yeah some other problems besides what everyone else already brought up:

1. There wouldn't be weapons in the brig. Elsewhere in the ship, sure, but not where you keep prisoners.

2. If you are a little girl and you get stabbed in the hip by a grown man wielding an arming sword, you would die. Annie is a lot smaller than an average person, she cannot tank these blows.

3. Bows require strength to use. A bow that a pre-teen girl is strong enough to draw wouldn't be powerful enough to mow down a horde like a high caliber assault rifle.

4. Even if we assume she's as strong a grown and trained man, she wouldn't be able to use a bow after getting stabbed in the arm.

But the pirates are still just scrubs so everyone else feel free to wreck them hard.

Anyways, I'm thinking about what my gnome should do next.

He could go up top to see what's going on, but if he gets involved he would probably be discovered.

He could attempt to befriend Urgal the Camel, but we can't have the gnome walking around smelling like rotten fish - he would be too easy to detect.

Finally, he could spend his time drawing sp00ky messages in various rooms.

I'm wondering how you plan to keep the gnome involved after we reach Morica?

The gnome would probably disembark and follow them on foot, continuing to mess with them but doing nothing that would compromise their survival. He still needs a ride home, after all.
