Oh, but a village massacre was not intended. there are only 13 shamans, and I recall a garrison of conscripts in the village. What I intended was to unfold into a skirmish between the Grays and the conscripts/villagers/farmers, ending in the deaths of the shamans. even farmers can suddenly take scythes, pitchforks, axes, etc., and suddenly charge the shamans. The Grays are described to be in an oblivious state, so at least a few would be able to be killed-off quickly.
Speaking of which, I'll grant permission to kill half of the shamans in any way you please, or perhaps Zang's spy could suddenly appear and take-out a few of the fanatical Grays, or whatever you'd like.
I thought that Karrus was based somewhat off medieval Europe, and historically, peasants sometimes suddenly attacked groups of soldiers. For example, in Austria, there is a story when Turks started stealing cattle, so peasants/farmers got angry, grabbed farming tools, and literally killed enough Turks to route the regiment of raiders!
I'll wait before doing anything.
