Hi everyone. It's a bit of a sombre occasion. In all honesty, I was never here for the glory days—I started appearing on the roleplaying forums, before they were consolidated, in the early 2010s—but I have been at least lurking for around a decade now. Thank you all for being so inviting to me all those years ago, when I was even more neurotic (and naïve) than I am now; through these forums, I've forged some of my closest friendships I yet have today, and I have you all here, and this place, to thank for that. And as one last sign-off, since the closure seems to be running late--I learned my deepest writing lessons here. (like not to write dialogue tags like "Hi." She said or "Hi," She said . Thanks, Englishkid!)). This community meant the world to me, means the world to me. I wouldn't still be a writer today if I hadn't stumbled into this strange world. I came here after getting kicked out of my last community, spooked and nervous and constantly worried I was going to make it happen again, and people accepted me. Even when I fed drama. Even when I started drama. People were patient, and kind, and taught me how to act like a person. Thanks, all.

It may not be autumn, but it's time to set sail anyways.

Kenobifm/AnAverageGom here. Took a while for me to find a computer today and say goodbye! It's been a long long time since I posted here but not a day went by in the eighteen years since I joined the story forum where I did not think of you all. This place encouraged me through my life in so many ways that I can never thank you all for enough.

I wish everyone here tonight, those who has since moved on, and those who will read this in the coming months the very best of luck. I hope you are well, I hope you will be well, and I can't wait to read your work again.

Hey, everyone—it's been a minute!

Four years ago I basically vanished off the face of the forums, and mid-roleplay too. Life happened and it took me away and then I was too busy and too awkward to apologize for that. I wish I'd been able to be more involved, but I just wanted to say that the bunch of you are terrific people and I absolutely admire your dedication to fantastic roleplay.

But I did want to apologize, say I wish I'd been more active, and wish all of you all the best wherever life takes you from here.
