I forgot to explain, but almost two weeks ago I basically got fired from my security job, due to 'misuse of company supplies and equipment' which was actually me not using my body cam when a vehicle drove through, though I said that, even if the body cam was on, it'd only record the desk as I was seated when the incident happened. I also have my usual habit of disagreeing/arguing with supervisors and sometimes being a bit of a boss which probably didn't make me look good but mleh, I'm not a pushover.
Funnily enough, at the same time, I got hired by Quesnel Industrial Transport (when I told the two supervisors and the manager lady that, they were speechless for like four seconds XD did they expect me to beg or something?), as a pilot truck driver, so I just drive a pickup truck with blinking lights, my presence alerting other road users of an oversized load. Although part-time, I get paid much more, around twenty-five dollars per hour, plus I'm also paid for my trip home, so I got paid sixteen hours for one day of driving, which is pretty cool. Since I get to stay home much more often, my brain's clearing up, I'm able to function better, my sleep and thinking improved, I am destressed, and overall should be able to role-play and work on my novels at a faster rate.
Another good thing, my older brother works at the same company, so someday, he'll train me up for semi truck driving then I'll finally be able to put my class 1 to work! So, ya, lost my main job but began my other career XD
I'm currently in Kelowna, drove from Prince George, took me seven hours or so; I used shortcut highways which were very high, cutting through the mountains and having sharp turns here and there, but the view was pretty (I was driving a hundred and twenty kilometres per hour on turns warning to go fifty kph XD I'm a bit of a crazy driver). Will return sometime tomorrow night unless something happens.
Oh, and the hotels here are really expensive, one hundred sixty six dollars -.-
