Oh my, it seems this forum has zombified again! But I won't give up, I'll keep talking and suggesting and inquiring and complain once in a while to see if I can trigger a spark.
I noticed we haven't had many Western-themed roleplays. Although Western-themed characters and features have appeared in my roleplays as potential content, I don't think we've strictly had a 19th century/Old West style roleplay.
So that's what I have in mind, but--as usual--there will still be my usual elements of: open-ended style, freedom of character creation beyond the initial storyline, and fantasy themes (less than usual though, this is limited to monsters, some magic, and curses, though the magical themes won't be so powerful as to nullify threats or make you godly).
There will be a few basic intros/storylines:
1|Gunslinger:you're an adventurous mercenary who stumbles upon the roleplay; enables horseback riding, survivalism and respect of most NPCs especially when turning in outlaws
2|You are a witch/warlock/sorcerer/whatever part of a hag coven from the forest or ran away from them or ended up in the roleplay somehow, granting you magical abilities at the cost of, if your secret is revealed, NPCs who are otherwise friendly may turn hostile
3|Vampire:enables sorcerous powers, superhuman strength and senses, but you are weakened by sunlight, NPCs who are otherwise friendly are hostile as you are more likely to be discovered
4|Werewolf:moonlight triggers lycanthropy, enabling superhuman strength, speed, senses, and toughness, but frightens NPCs who would otherwise by allies
5|Brave:Native American warriors are excellent trackers, hunters, herbalists, and enables Spirit Mode where you can control an animal
6|misc.:be a rancher/farmer/merchant/traveller/settler/whatever and form your own backstory and purpose
