As well as can be expected! That's to say, I'm constantly alternating between generally coping and a slow spiral into despair, depending on the day. Some days I get a lot of work done and some days I get 54 Runecrafting and finish the first season of Buzzfeed Unsolved, and the real test is accepting that the latter days are a necessary component right now.

By the way, I haven't been in a free-form roleplay in a long time, and the last thing I want to do is try to grab the spotlight. Havoc is meant to be more of a complementary side character, and my goal with her roleplaying is to draw other characters out, not insert her into every single scene. That said, I'm very engaged with this RP right now, and I'm also online, like, basically always, since I work from home. Do let me know if I'm butting into too many scenes!

I think it's great. It's been a long time since I've been active here, but back in the day I remember precious few people taking the initiative like you are. It's up to us to drive the story as much as Angle, after all.

I'm doing well too! I thought it would be nice to have a little reference to the glory days there, although I'm not sure if this thread is taking place in the same "collective universe" we had going back then. I was also poking fun at myself for always writing my characters the same way.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to some piracy. Glad to be back.

By the way, I really like Angel's opening. There's a lot of really good writing in this RP, and the intro is absolutely fantastic. I love how aggressively Barbossa-esque Otodus comes off—you get the sense he really lives in his own world and enjoys every second of it. He's a perfect archetypical pirate to set the genre for the RP.
