I really like martial industrial, it has this feeling of doom and dread. I love tanks, trains, heavy weaponry, and armour. Especially in a gritty, grimy, gruesome environment.

Fish, how are the captains or whoever is recruiting set up in the tavern? Are the higher-ups even there, or is it just a grunt handing out fliers or something?

I don’t need a post for the intro, I really just need to know if the people in charge are there in person. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Yeah, the Captains will be there personally.

Basically, they'll set themselves up at a table, with a sign that says "recruitment." They will be flanked by two people - their lieutenant (first mate in Robert's case) and their Quartermaster. They will give a sales pitch to anyone who comes close enough.

Each captain has gone to a different tavern, so I will let you choose who to sign up with.

I would also like to point out that they won't be the only ones recruiting. Varia is widely recognized as the place to go if you're looking to recruit experienced sailors, so there will be at least a few ship captains there also recruiting. What will make the mercenary captains stand out is the fact that people don't usually see mercenary companies in Varia. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Eh, I'll worry about who is recruiting where after you post. I needed the info for a different reason.

Although given what I'm doing, it'll probably end up being whoever we were with at the start.

As a side note, if it wasn't clear already, Wulvash would have gone along with Vanick in order to tell him that he'd be departing with Zensira here - his concerns for her only growing after her injury and the reveal of someone sending sellsails after their expedition. Plus he was, of course, the one selling the gauntlets to Aria. I am Inferi.
