Hello.

As an update, I made progress in my new RP, Impurity. Japan's divided into five regions so far, including the three smaller main islands, each region having their own environments and pictures. Will be adding a couple more classes. Added notes for combat, sustaining damage, and how to use Feats.

If I were to apply my amazing editing skills here, I would suggest simplifying the classes to something similar to the resources Nobunaga supposidly had at his disposal

~ Kensei (Sword Saint) – It sounds cool, and could basically be the samurai everyone looks up to.
~ Battle Samurai – the younger Samurai who look up to the head Samurai and folow his orders.
~ Ashigaru - Peasant musket men, bowmen or pikeman lead in formation. Basically fodder.
~ Perhaps a fallen or dishonored samurai class, kind of like the Aramusha in your game.
~ Some sort of Shinobi/Kunoichi class that deals in booze, sex, murder and scandals.
~ Perhaps a sort of priest/shrine maiden class that deals in godly magic and yokai supression?
~ Colonialists, basically ye olde sailors and soldiers.

Decent ideas, West, though I felt that ashigaru were not really interesting. I did, however, have plans for the bio prompt to include your class (samurai/bushi, ronin, ji-samurai, ashigaru, sohei, mercenary, etc.), ancestral clan (provides slight bonuses), even religion. I wanted each and every class to be unique and good in its own way, or at least tried to do that.

There is indeed a class that has magical abilities and a Feat that suppresses curses, so would be the anti-yokai class. I'll try to mention yokai suppression more clearly.

Yes, there are two nanban-specific classes! Good call!

I will be creating an index soon.

Hm, working on this RP turned out to be much harder and time-consuming that I expected. Either my RPs are getting better and so need more time, or I am getting slower at making them. Ha!



Updated various descriptions of classes and some abilities, making a few classes a bit more unique-ish. Will continue work on the Bio Prompt and two other things in a while. First, I want to work on Omega, as I forgot about that.

Heh. Sorry, I've been a little distracted - I should probably get on that, huh?

Also, I forgot where Halai is from the tavern. I mean, if everyone was headed in the same direction, that'd probably be a big bonus. The trouble is choosing a motive for joining the group - which I think I had. I say think because it's not quite comming to me right this second...

I thought that I said somewhere that it was between the Halai and Tias borders...although now that I look, I can't find that anywhere.

I wanted this version of Impurity be a rather hardcore roleplay, of which we enter the world of the samurai, a place where samurai can legally commoners who insult their honour, where users can challenge other heroes or other users, have a large number of major NPC heroes, randomly selected minor NPCs, be story-driven through users and major NPCs, have boss battles, have hardcore combat and action, and acquire powers from killing foes.
