Don't get me wrong, I'm awful with multiple choice - deciding from a huge list of cool options? Hard as balls, which for me makes receiving an additional one later on really nice. A step closer to that power fantasy. I am Inferi.

Half my problem is that I can't justify not taking something that looks extremely useful even if it doesn't fit the character as well as something less useful. I'll end up with a bunch of stuff that I feel I need, and then be stuck not having what I want. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

You're not the only one.

But my main problem with the perk system is that while some of them wouldn't be out of place in a video game, how do you justify them in a roleplay? Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

So you're basically telling me to make a character do something they wouldn't do because you want me to?

Annie, X7A has no purpose but to be a Government killing machine. There's no reason for her to talk to anyone except who she needs to in order to coordinate a mission, and no reason for her to do anything other than carry out her objective. Such a character is extremely difficult to interact with unless they end up in a situation that is designed to make them do so, and for that to happen the story pretty much needs to be written around them. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
