I don't play OSRS because I've got too much time invested in the current game mode, I didn't want to start all over, and by the time the OSRS was launched I was maxed and mostly playing for the quests. When OSRS launched, they were then 6 years behind on quest dev.
Yes, they released a number of quests over the last few years. The only ones distinct from RS3 are the "new continent" stuff (though I can argue parallel's to what RS3 released in late '16), Monkey Madness 2, Dragon Slayer 2, and Fossil Island.
Both have some difference in raid instances.
OSRS finally released a quest with a similar premise to RS3's content.
Since I'm not a member on OSRS, I'd have to do A LOT to catch up on levels to play out the stories on OSRS ... and tbh ... I've seen the play thrus on Youtube.
