Y'know, Delta. If the nobles allowed mixed bathing, I'm *fairly* sure everyone would complete that soap miniquest in a few days, if I'm any judge of the current RS3 community.

EDIT: Sounds like a cool idea, Azi - though your idea of children actually doing anything beyond the mundane or playing pretend is surprisingly anime-esque. O_o Usually the big world-ending decisions are left to Teens and Adults, since children are just products of their environment. You can't really blame a child, after all.

I feel like it's more "story-esque" rather than anime-esque. Sure, having kids get caught up in something important that they deal with effectively isn't something that happens in real life much, but that's why we have fictional works and whatnot.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

It was originally intended as a joke article in another thing.
Yes, it is a pun upon several inside jokes of Runescape and RPG's in general.
I sincerely doubt Jagex would want to develop that as a particular miniquest because it would likely violate some of the things they stay away from in game and would open the door to the sort of role play they also actively avoid (though they do joke about it "a little" in game ............................................ ................................................................................................ )

I have no problems with a child unleashing an ancient evil on the world and getting caught up in some big over arching plot; I'm just admitting it's hard to blame them for doing so (from my perspective). Even if the kids don't combat the evil, it really wasn't their problem to begin with - which is what makes it so extraordinary when they stand up to it.

At least, that's my two cents.

I don't see why not. People hooking up on MMO's is often seen in a good light nowadays, and Runescape has one of the "rowdiest" community's outside of a Korean MMO or xbox live.

Yeah, but Runescape doesn't have any intentional means for players to interact in those raunchy ways.
Players have to go to efforts to time some of the scenes you often see in pics and on reddit, or taking advantage of graphical glitches.

... You don't head in-game much, do you? :P

Normies will always find a way. It's been that way since 2007 Varrock square (earlier, so I'm told).

I'm in game enough.

Now, I should put the caveat that I'm in RS3 .... I don't do Old School.

Neither do I. I meant the year, not the obsolete nostalgia mode with every update we ever wanted at the time with none of the mtx that followed. Or do I really seem that young? ;)

From what I hear, from 2005 and 2006, Varrock Square was claimed by the edaters. O_o One of my friends actually met his wife there, in fact.
