You know what, scratch what I just said. I'll try it out as a roleplay first, and if that fails I'll just slightly alter the plot and make it into a story.
Edit: I may also make a series of short stories centered around Joric Ironfist.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Run it as a story and a roleplay concurrently to highlight how the actions of the roleplayers makes the overall plot vastly different
EDIT: I will read all stories about Joric Ironfist
I will also help co-write the Joric/Thorek love story that never was

Are you suggesting I have the story be one grand overarching plot while the roleplay is a smaller subplot?
Or are you suggesting I make the story about the roleplay and update it as the roleplay progresses?
In the first case, I want the roleplayers to be directly involved in what's going on so that won't work. And in the second case it will essentially be reposting the roleplay.
I could also have two separate groups of Slayers. One for the roleplayer and the other for the story, their paths occasionally meeting. I might do that. Will require a lot more planning though.

Just throwing that in here in case you didn't see it.
I was suggesting you write the story as how-you-imagine-the-thread-should-go, whilst the roleplay is there to demonstrate how much RPers mess up your perfect vision and take you on a wild rollercoaster ride that even you can't explain.

But then I'll have to slowly move the story forward as the roleplay progresses. If the story ever gets ahead of the roleplay then the roleplayers can use that information to meta-game their way to success.
Personally I like the idea of two separate perspectives. If the roleplayers are honourable enough to not read the story until the roleplay is complete, they can look back and go: "Oh, so that's why that happened!" And also see themselves occasionally pop up in the story.

I've been fiddling with the idea of RPs and Stories in a shared universe. Maybe I'll do that with TLK eventually.
Ramsay Bolton is the king we deserve.
There is no such thing as an honourable roleplayer. Any PC vs PC combat scene should have told you that.
I suppose whilst we're on the topic of stories, I've been thinking about making something called Tales of Engelain, which would mostly be excerpts from history books, or recounting of events or other such miscellaneous information. It'd be open for others to contribute to, if they felt the need.
