Yeah, been there too. A lot of my relationships in the past were with women that I'd call 'fixer-uppers'. Only problem is, modern people don't have much of a sense of respect or loyalty, so once you fix 'em up and get 'em back on their feet, they all of a sudden think they're too good for you and replace you. Last girl I was with, I dropped probably six or seven G's on shit to make her life better. Learned my lesson though. As my old one-eyed biker buddy said, you can't turn a hoe into a housewife.

I don't deal with all that mess anymore. If a woman wants to try and get into my head, she's gonna have to try and try real hard. Second she gets uppity, it's back on the side of the road. That's my rule now. Cash over ass. Never put a hoe over that dough. Word to the wise.

"Cash over ass" can be interpreted in several different ways. ;)

Still, I get your point. Some people are users and just aren't worth it - but I don't think that mould fits everyone.

I had a mentor figure while growing up who ended up married to a rather insecure wife. She drunk heavily while alone and could throw temper tantrums with the best of them (and is the reason why I would never date a "whine" drinker - pun intended). Yet, for all that, he seemed genuinely happy to be the rock in that relationship.

I guess some people like being relied on, some people just want to rely on other people. Two people who want to rely on their partners simply isn't going to work if one or both parties don't put in the effort.

Yeah, it's certainly not a trait that's exclusive to women. I've had dude friends who just come over, eat all the food, drink all my beer, play video games or on their phone the whole time and hardly even speak. Or they want to go do something, like go to the bar and watch football, go out to eat, anything, but they're broke and by inviting you they're basically inviting your wallet to pay for their good times. Works best when there's equality. You know, I pick up the check this time, you pick up the check next time. Had a few arrangements like that and it always worked. On the other hand, you got people that only come around when you've got money. Bum a whole pack of cigarettes, drink beer out of the fridge, or if you're into recreational substances, bogart all of your product for themselves.

I've never been stingy about anything, either, but you gotta be just a little guarded because otherwise people will just take advantage. I'm the type of person, I'll buy a six pack of Bud tall boys for my buds just because I want to hang out and drink with 'em. Course, I had to give up alcohol a while back. Whenever I was drunk and somebody else was dry, I'd get them to run me to the corner store for beer and smokes because I was in no state to drive and I'd pick them up a 12 pack too on the way out. I'm naturally generous though. But that leads to no cigarettes, no beer and no money pretty quick.

I guess I'm the sort, I like being relied on but I don't like people to be entirely dependent on me either. I tend to run into the deadbeats though. Most of my ex-girlfriends hated work and wouldn't get a job. Last one said she wanted to get a place that was 900 a month. I could afford it, sure, but there wouldn't be much left. So she got a job cleaning rooms at a hotel and only worked 8, maybe 16 hours a week, making minimum wage and thought that was gonna make a difference. Cadillac tastes on a Ford Pinto budget, basically.

Ha! Zaeed’s comment reminded you of this place? Funny. Zaeed’s probably my favorite character in Mass Effect.
“You survived being shot in the head?”
“And you survived your ship being disintegrated.”
I loved this moment.

Well, Yuno looks quite pleased; but I don’t like modern guns, use a blade, noob. No way such a skinny girl could shoot an SMG like that tho. ...unless she just happened to be born with ultra-dense bones and ultra-dense muscles. I always wondered why such positive mutations don’t happen more often, seeing as they clearly, obviously give you a huge advantage.

I created a new RP as I thought the forum was dying, and wanted to try to bring life back. I don’t know if it was a good idea. Wolf’s two RPs are easy to follow, so shouldn’t be too much of a problem. I like the idea of working on multiple RPs because I get to explore multiple worlds at once, which is cool.

OK Annie and Inferi, I think you worked out a solution. Thank you for your cooperation.

Delta, page 2650
I don’t know why, but I tend to find cute cruel girls quite alluring, which is ironic, seeing as I was always in long-term problems with psychopathic pricks.

Gun, page 2650
XD Indeed, ya don’t wanna do that with Mileena from MK9.

Oh my, you took the risk? At least you tried. I tend to be a hard nut to crack, so, thus far in my life, all manipulators failed to break or use me.

West, page 2650, next post
Indeed, human beings instinctively want to help, to nurture, to improve, and this is how psychopaths take advantage of good people.

Yandere? Never heard that term before. Sometimes, people want to be with someone who’s a reflection of themselves. Some people are irredeemable, but you can still forgive them and laugh at them about it. Well, a psychopath is born, so there’s nothing you can do to change them, so you might as well treat them like crap.

Ha! Yeah, don’t date someone you would ostracize. In my case, I’d still do it for fun.

Ouch! Damn Gun, all those G’s for nothing? I’m sorry to hear that. I never have money and grew up in poverty, and still live in poverty, so by default, such girls won’t wanna be with me. Nevertheless, your loyalty and passion to help people is still good, you will find a great wife one day who will appreciate you.

Good words to live by. The impetus of feminism encourages girls to manipulate men and drive to selfishness, greed and jealousy, so it’s good to cut yourself off from them.

West, page 2651
XD Indeed.

Human psychology is complex. In my case, I tend to like bitchy ladies, I just find amusement in it, but of course, I at least try to not laugh at them.

In high school, one time, this quasi-psychopathic tall slim cute girl was constantly getting into arguments and name-calling with other girls, for basically no reason, and was manipulative and deceptive. Whenever we were together, I’d compliment her attitude, say that I liked it and all, and we just worked well together.
One day, while she was trying to quit smoking, she was eating carrots, and I told her she reminded me of a bunny. She chuckled, but did not talk to me afterwards, ever, and I still get a laugh out of it at times.

People aren’t always good at cooperation, but oh well, that’s life.

Gun, page 2651
Jerk friends, I hate those kind of people. A few times, they “borrowed” my Nintendo 64 games and disappeared. But oh well, I took it as a reminder to be vigilant. Indeed, such people I assume to be psychopaths (which is unfair 99% of the time, but eh, I a severe), and detach myself from them. Try to be stingy more often, tho. Oh yes, I also like being generous, but I learned to save that for family and real friends.

Oh dear, what a mistake. It’s better to just buy a trailer, they’re cheap to maintain and live in. Was thinking of buying and installing a wood furnace this summer, that’d basically kill the heating bill. Being able to cook traditionally is a plus.

Anyways, this was quite an amusing discussion! Definitely one of the funnest for a long time, thanks to all who put the time in it. Oh, and I forgot to mumble, that I am rather condescending to psychopathic girls as well. I like them, I’m kinda like, “Aww, little girl trying to be a big girl? Cute, at least you tried, dearie.” I guess this is one reason bad people don’t ever want to be around me, maybe? Speaking of which, I consider myself quite lucky, because I basically never have to deal with bad people, so I appreciate my success-absent yet problem-absent life.

...and all this talk of psychopaths reminds me of both my parents, who were basically always like that for as long as I can remember them o.0

TBH, my favourite Mass Effect quotes always come out when renegade shep opens up her mouth. Femshep seems a lot sassier (and crazier) than her male counterpart, though broshep is still king of the paragons. Must be the canadian accent. :P

Yandere doesn't really need an English variation, since we already have the terms "psycho" and "bitch". The term is more of a meme that came from Japan, but is something that is exhibited in all cultures and media.

Oh, you have no idea... xD

Improbable knife skills are a must for a Yandere - as are other cutting weapons, like axes. In the most extreme cases, they will be armed with chainsaws.

I make it a general rule not to date a woman who is more messed up than i am.
I'm not speaking figuratively. That sets a fairly modest bar.
A few women I've met had a laundry list of issues that made me seem "normal".
My usual advice to them is seek professional help.

Oddly only met 1 that tried to use me as a sugar daddy, just without the.
Took me a little while to catch on. Wasn't out that much.
Callled up 1 nite saying she needed 1k for rent money (she had implied before she was ok financially). Nothing about it being a loan or something. Just an outright demand.
And inly after 2 "dates", and her standing me up about 5 times ......... She wonders why i said no and suggested that we weren't working out.

I quite agree with you, BUT, I like Zaeed more than Shepard. But ya, female Shepard's quotes are just really, hmm, how to put it... sassy, yeah, that's a good word for it. Jennifer's voice is also quite memorable. Ah yes, Canadian accent, it's neutral but also memorable!

I see. I also see I am rather outdated with my terminology.

Nope, not much idea, anime is a realm I seem to struggle to understand.

Axes and chainsaws are great, too. My favorite weapon is a hardwood stick, I have two sizes: yew stick, and my "kanabo" (a thick rosewood handle that's almost three inches thick and about three feet long) [it's not actually a kanabo, I just call it that].

Ah, that's wisdom, Delta, thanks for sharing. Seems like problems with girls is much more common than I expected. Shows what I know: not much.
