Meh, I haven't really done anything today and I'm still working through ideas for the thread.
I think I will post one giant lore thread that tells you everything you need to know about the world, since I plan to use this world for multiple roleplays.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

In my (admittedly secondhand) experience, most permanent character injuries come near the end of a thread, thus only becoming relevant in a thread's sequels. I could be
so
wrong though.
I've had a lot of time to think about that thread since I saw you post of it sometime last year. I never disliked it, I wouldn't have made it if I did, but I did dislike how I had handled it. Although it had the same title, the two times I had done it were essentially two different threads, both in their content, and how I ran the thread. I have thought about doing it again, though I'm not ready for that now, and I've thought about doing it as a story, but I don't know what qualities each incarnation had that gave them their strength and made them good enough to be remembered, and I don't know which iteration to emulate more, or if I should reimagine it again entirely. My biggest question for you is what made it so interesting in comparison to every other urban powers thread?
Well, I wasn’t solely talking about permanent injuries. PCs regularly make it out
just
in time before the bomb explodes, or the overpowered enemy swings again, or
literally any other possible source of damage
. Then again, I don’t know if I’ve ever actually been on too many threads where I was in threat of injuries.
As far as the individual threads go, I think I liked the breakout and chaotic aspect of the first, where no one really knew what was happening but suddenly WHOA THERE’S MAGIC POWERS BEING THROWN AROUND WHO AM I WHERE AM I WHAT AM I. The second had good features of everyone trying their hardest to cope with the powers, some who hid them, others who tried to use them to gain power. Then again, I just liked your writing style, so maybe that’s swaying the thoughts.

Well, do I have news for you, Blue! I've been thinking about giving it another jolt of life; maybe actually do something productive around the forums instead of continuing my army of Glenns. I just need to stop procrastinating and figure out how to pull strings together.
OOH! OOH! I CAN DESCRIBE MY INJURIES AND THAT CAN HELP JUMPSTART IT, THEN WE CAN FIND ANOTHER STEPPING STONE TO GO FORWARD!
We can SWEAR now???????? WHAT ELSE HAVE I MISSED?!?!?!?!
They removed the censor a few days ago, actually. It came with the update that we can now post pictures onto the forums. Now I can describe character appearances in bios without using words.
All of my character pics may or may not be anime.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Oh cool, now I can draw my characters and color them digitally which is something I actually have found I enjoy doing.
That's okay. I was on another RP website a few years ago and all of my characters there were anime as well. Plus all I can draw is anime (and not even good anime at that).
EDIT: I am actually really excited by Chaser's mention of wanting to spark life into D37 again because that will be a good way to be apart of a thread without needing to make a character. Past me did all of that work, present me would just have to pick up where I left off.
I just play FFXIV at this point. DC: Crystal
