Sorry for the absence guys, I’ve been taken by some rather alluring productions that took up most of my free time (I tend to binge on anime and books – I hate waiting for an ending!)
One in particular caught my eye, called 'Garo, the Vanishing Line'. It features a certain protagonist that’s changed my perspective on how much a child could influence an adult-orientated action-espionage plot even without being relevant in combat. Even if they lack the intelligence, guile or combat ability of their more oldschool peers, children are bought up with different strengths in the modern era - like Social Media, their socially perceived “innocence” and their sheer ignorance of “how the world works and their place in it”.
That being said, I don’t think I could port these ideas onto these forums since children here are typically considered weak, idiotic and utterly unskilled - while adults are always sleek, modern and all round badass. Children often compete with Adults in pissing contests that nobody can lose, so as not to be forgotten (or favoured) by the plot.
I also got an idea for a roleplay, but I don't think anyone would be particularly impressed if I described it in detail while I have outstanding posts.
I want to test a new mechanic I've thought up, whereby a roleplay will have "acts", "stages" and a definate "conclusion" - kind of like a play or visual novel.
