Shepard is 100% a soldier in canon lore, at least as far as I see it.

Soldiers spam adrenaline rush, though. I would wager they use it as much as I used Tac Cloak as an infiltrator.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

One thing I always found weird was that Infiltrators have more melee buffs than a soldier. Almost like they want you to beat the shnozz out of people from cloak - yet most of the npc infiltrators we see wield shotguns (for which they have no buffs).

I mean, I hate that the game forces you to choose between sniping or melee, but man. Melee playthroughs are so satisfying - especially in ME3.

Ahh, so then would Noah be able to see these captives through their cell windows from where he is?
Yeah sure, why not? I tend to keep descriptions of architecture vague anyways.

LOKIs are the androids, YMIRs are the big ones. X7A met one FENRIS in Communications. And yeah, YMIRs were pretty hard, fighting two at the same time was a bit of a challenge for me.

LOKIs shoot at anything that does not belong to their faction, unless one is hacked/glitched.

Ha! I also used sniper rifle against the asari Spectre, it was a fun fight. All this talk about it makes me wanna replay the Mass Effect trilogy, it's a good time, seeing as it's Mass Effect's ten year anniversary recently.

Melee in ME3 was epic. Multiple strikes, and using the Omni-blade, is pretty cool. When I played MP the first time, I kept trying to melee Banshees, but obviously just got insta-killed leaving me 0.o

Lol, You should have seen the first time I tried to biotic charge a ATLAS. It just picked up Shepard and killed them. O_o

But yeah. I do think there was a lot of melee-hate in ME3 - but not a lot of punishment for taking cover.

Annie,
I suppose so. If you're OK with it, so am I.

XD that'd be rather embarrassing, hunh West? *imagines a Biotic charge* *ATLAS Mech simply grabs you midair and kills you*
Bleh, I was never good at tech and biotic powers, too complex for me. Thus, I always play Soldier, that's what works best for me. I never beat any game on Insanity, tho, that's a wee bit too hard for me!

Odd, I loved the melee in ME3. Multiple hits just look so cool, and being able to grab enemies and pull them over cover was really cool.
