There's only a single character that specializes in necromancy on TLK, and that's Nin. Just because it is someone's only available ability doesn't mean they're a genius user of it.

Because magic is so overused and in most cases overpowered. I often end up giving characters magic just so they aren't under-powered in comparison to everyone else. Even Joric needs a magic shield just to deal with all the other magic users.

Three necromancers out of fourteen is surprisingly high for a roleplay, actually. And the eloquently named Emo Muslim was the first, so I certainly understand his trepidations. Maybe someone should join as a light mage and dispense of them all? [eyes light up]

Specializing doesn't necessarily mean you're good at it. It could also mean it's the only thing you use, what you're best at, or the thing you use the most.
