1. You're a necromancer.
2. There's only three necromancers in a cast of like fourteen major characters.
3. All of that could easily apply to magic in general, which is supposed to have a 1 in 800 rule but is used by at least half the characters.
4. Necromancy isn't even my gnome's specialty. I clearly said he used other forms of magic. My gnome isn't even going to be an influential character at all - he'll just be there to poke at and harass people.

I think I'm going to make a thread with almost no magic. It all comes from shady potions, illegal rituals, and ancient artifacts. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Because magic is so overused and in most cases overpowered. I often end up giving characters magic just so they aren't under-powered in comparison to everyone else. Even Joric needs a magic shield just to deal with all the other magic users. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

No, I agree, you have the right to be annoyed. I too get annoyed when everyone jumps on the same band wagon. It's just a bit strange to get upset over other characters using necromancy when so far only two characters actually specialize in it, one of which is you. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

okay. I'm going to make an encyclopedia of Magic schools then, maybe so that people get ideas of what other schools of magic there are. maybe it will aid in the creation of Mage characters. It's just a thought. I tend to find patterns that are nonexistent and no one will sees, and I say that things will become a problem way before it becomes a problem, and usually I end up being wrong. It's just a quirk in my personality Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)
