Hmm. Ok.

Just so you know, I was thinking of someone who doesn't fight but provides support with healing and alchemy. That sort of thing.

Okay.

Are you still going for your Merfolk idea? If so, would this character be okay with the Company having them use their charm ability to get better deals on contracts and supplies?

Edit: Although I suppose gouging them for the best possible price isn't typical Aspect of Good worshipper behavior...

Depends on how it goes/the magnitude and whatnot, but I wouldn't say she'd be totally against it.

Although I did have another thought. Does magic have spells that buff/debuff? For example, making the person trying to charge you weak at the knees so they topple over or making your friend able to jump 50 feet in the air due to enhanced leg muscles.

I'll take a look again myself, I just can't remember.

Ok, blood magic kinda seems to do that, but if it's a forbidden thing she wouldn't be going for it.

Blessings are buffs (Good) and Curses are debuffs (Evil.)

Edit: Although 50 feet in the air is a bit much...

It was just an example, first number that came to mind. That sucks that they aren't neutral, though...I guess it just makes her that much more vulnerable.

Well, if you aren't going to give her Faith Magic, you could just give her a bit of Mana Magic instead. Merfolk tend to focus on the more passive spells anyways - enchanting, nature (how they manipulate coral), animal friendship, etc. Some of them choose to learn air and water spells for offense, but you could just say that she wasn't one of them in order to keep her on a support role.

Edit: Or were you just referring to the buffs/debuffs, and not Faith magic in general? Because I thought you were implying you would not give her faith magic.

Just the buffs/debuffs. Faith magic is probably the way I'd go since there's already a mana mage and they seem less like supports than faith magic users anyways. Wizard vs Cleric and all that jazz.
