RWBY?

A mediocre anime with an audience that consists entirely of Westenev and Inferi.

I don't necessarily agree with that. I feel as though the story is perfectly fine, although I guess since I'm enjoying it quite a bit I don't see the need to nitpick much. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

I still watch it and enjoy it just think they're being a little too predictable at this point. For example, they should have, by now, revealed Arc's Aura because the longer they take with that the worse it's going to become.

Again, I don't agree. Sure, they could have revealed that, but at what point up until now would it have made sense for it to manifest? I'm only counting points past the end of volume 3 regarding this, but there's only been 2 major fights and neither one of them would have been a good point for it to happen, or rather it wouldn't have made a lot of sense for it to spring up during them.

As for being predictable overall rather than using a specific example, perhaps, but I would argue that many points in seasons 1 and 2 were just as predictable as anything that's happening now.

Did it take a hit because of Monty's death? Probably, but without knowing how it would have been had he been around there's no way to really know for sure. All there is for reference is the initial two seasons, and they were going to be different from what's happening now anyways.

If losing Pyrrha and the resulting aftermath hasn't yet triggered his Aura (and various other attempts he has made since) then you are going to be hard-pressed to find a opportunity to have it trigger. He is very much following a 'Heroes Journey' but we haven't yet seen anything tangible from him since Pyrrha's death. It's almost like they don't know what to do with him as a character because he is now surrounded by people who can reliably defeat larger Grimm.

The issue I think is that there is so much speculation surrounding the nature of his Aura that they cannot actually 'reveal' it without making people feel disappointed and I am concerned he'll die shortly after any such reveal is made.

When I brought up predictability, it was a matter of applying it across all seasons so sorry for any misunderstanding there.

But whatever enough of RWBY it's been a long time since I visited the roleplay forums (years even) how are things?
