I prefer cold to heat, mainly because it's easier (and more satisfying) to warm up. It's excessively difficult to cool down however, and anything you do to alleviate heat typically grants only a momentary relief.

Ha! Exactly, West, exactly. All Texan snow melts within a day, tho.

Anyways, we will be attempting to get a wood stove next week, if possible. The best, cheapest, most efficient, mobile home-approved wood stove we found was the Quebec-made Polaris wood stove; it also has two lids that open up, allowing you to cook pots atop the wood stove, adding to its versatility. It's $999.99, but only 266 pounds, a highly efficient smaller-sized wood stove. Six-inch diameter, two-inch thick-walled insulated chimney piping about $140 per three feet, will need at least twelve foot chimney. Overall, total costs to getting all accessories and then installation, will be about two (forgot about stove pad, which is like 800 dollars) three thousand dollars, but still cheaper than getting a brand new natural gas furnace. We will get a new natural gas furnace sometime after winter, and work on solar panels as well, maybe. Since electricity is going up, as are bills and services in general, it pays to save up money for this kind of semi-self sufficiency!

This is correct in every situation.

Also this. As someone who does field work (meaning I'm outside for 90% of my job), and hates both the cold and heat, I find that the heat is much more oppressive to deal with.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
