Azi Does it matter what the artifact looks like, currently I'm thinking that the artifact should be some silver medallion that is covered in satanic-like imagery, has a skull emblazoned on the silver of the medallion, with two diamonds for eyes of the skull, and speaks to whoever holds it in some sort of dead language. Eventually, anyone holding it who is not a cambion, will literally go insane should they hold it for any longer than three seconds.

Or does the artifact have a set shape, and appearance?

No, the artifact can be anything you want, it just needs to be demonic in nature. That's the only excuse I can get for teleporting Zaphiran into the next area immediately. You just need to get him into contact with the demonic artifact, and I'll do the rest. Also, waiting for Ancient to post again.

In Scions of Sorcery, waiting for George's and West's opinion on the current situation. Shall I continue on, re-intro available characters, or wait? I can merge George's character, Gideon, West's character raven, and Annie's character Poca, with the adventurers I think Fishing has, at the Divided City, seeing as everyone is nearby this area anyways.

I... suppose I could try rehyping myself into the character? There wasn't all that much written for her, so I never came to regret writing her like I did with Dirk (broken world) and Gwen (As Demons Weep).

As it is, however, I think I have my hands full with this intro. And trying to write up two bio's for George's thread (which, in all honesty, I don't think is going to happen).

EDIT:
This round is… sort of difficult to write for, because Cooke (who hasn't posted yet) is portrayed as the main reactionary character of this turn. As cute as it would be for the cast to simply “assemble”, I think it might be smarter to introduce our characters based around this conflict – ie. if he began hitting her, maybe Bridgett (or another character) might “politely” ask him to stop.

I guess what I’m trying to get at is that the narrative should come before “turns”, and we should all seek to exploit each other’s characters to tell a coherent story.

It's OK, if you don't feel like it, don't worry about it. Ha, Gwen, she was interesting.

It's probably best you work on the bios for George's thread, then.

Hm, yeah, revolving a story around the problems of bio characters, that's a peculiar idea, it may work very well, I'll keep that in mind for sure.

Coherence of multiple characters, and different opinions due to multiple authors, may be a bit difficult. I for one occasional misunderstand or misinterpret content, for example. I think I can learn this by reading others' posts doing it first.

Edit:
I totally misread that. Thus, proving your point.

But, as a counter argument: Do you ever fully understand the thoughts of those around you, through actions alone?

Oh, well, I can still reply to how I'd work out my characters if the RP was my story. My characters tend to be faction-based, so I'll have three or four groups of characters, each with named characters, who interact. For example, in my Mass Effect fanfic, there's a group of quarians who ended up stranded on an uncharted planet (where the fanfic takes place on), after being shot down by geth during their Pilgrimage. Ten years later or so, a group of Blue Suns and Eclipse mercs stumble upon them, so they join together out of necessity to survive the huge monsters who kill them. Later, Alliance marines reply to a distress call, killing a bunch of Blue Suns mercs upon landing, taking one prisoner (who behaves quite oddly), and after nearly being swarmed by geth, (rather different) husks and then monsters, they stumble upon more Blue Suns, and join forces out of necessity. So, characters can join forces out of necessity, which may work.

No, I don't always fully understand other characters through their action alone, but I try to. Body language, opinions, and speech provide clues, sometimes, which I try to read. I also makes notes of characters sometimes.

... But, if we were to fit your example into a roleplay, we'd see a Quarrian, an Alliance Marine and a Blue Sun member would walk into a bar (one after the other), and then set into motion some sort of geth-related problem without character establishment.

From a meta perspective, it's grating.
