And now that I'm actually reading stuff from the past few days, let's see if I can answer the questions posed by Fysyx.
*Ahem*
Ok, the easiest one first. Money: I don't really care how much he has, since I'm not going to try implementing a currency system. I've done that before, and it just gets messy and I really don't have the energy to deal with the upkeep. That being said, I'd say, without trying to go into a numerical amount, that he would have enough that he should be set when it comes to travel expenses, food, that kind of stuff, without having to worry about running out. Is that enough, or would you like me to try and be more specific?
His target. I'd actually like to know before I specify this, since the idea I had initially was recently joined by a second one and I don't know which I like better: would he take a contract that's pretty vague as well as classified as extremely dangerous?
Am I missing something else here I should be addressing? I feel like I am, but I don't know what it would be, so remind me (if you don't mind) what I'm missing if I am missing something.
EDIT FOR WEST: That's some technical shit, and although I'm wavering on the verge of just saying "it works" I'll see if I can dredge up the energy to get some of the technical aspects out there.
If what you're calling "Crystallis" is just the material, then no, it cannot affect thermodynamic properties directly. If by that you mean the tech itself, i.e. the matrix that draws and manipulates the power of the material, then yes, it can. The way it works is that, whatever needs to be done, the matrix is designed to do so. You need to heat something up? Design the matrix to draw and manipulate the energy to do that.
Of course, a matrix doesn't have to be a single-operation thing like that. In fact, all of the "combat matrices", which are the ones that allow people to use "magic", are designed so that using various types of power material will make them have different functions. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
