You know, besides the whole "marker" and "deadspace" themes, what's so different from a Gravemind and a Bretheren Moon? For all we know, they're the same thing in different universes.

EDIT: In hindsight, after reading the wiki article, it seems they're more like a "Gravemind with the Reaper ideal of forcing advanced civilisations to build what the moons leave behind, so the "advanced races" can maintain the tech the moons need it to invade them later."

Which is why I provided a link to showcase the Hive Mind. It should help quite a bit.

Gravemind and Brethren Moons are quite similar indeed, curious with the Reaper comparison, too. However, the Flood can adopt weapon technology, even drive vehicles and shoot guns at you, and Gravemind can be given a conversation. Personally, I like the Flood more than the Necromorphs. Thus, I think it'd be cool to, later in the thread, get the Flood and Necromorphs into a huge fight, with us in the middle. Should be great!

For those who can handle violence and horror, watch this link, it shows you where Dead Space (and Resident Evil) got core ideas from, in my opinion:

I miss old horror films, modern ones just can't compete with those from the 70s and 80s.

The Brethren Moons do hold conversations with Issac though - particularly in 2 and 3, though they only speak through hallucinations of his dead girlfriend. Deadspace 1 was more of a "prelude" as Issac seems to undergo the first stages of indoctrination.

EDIT: I would also figure that the Brethren moons also work under the same indoctrination rules as the Reapers - they will allow agents to retain their forms (and ‘minds’) for as long as they are useful - because necromorphs (and reaper minions) cannot complete complex tasks without supervision.

I wonder if the Flood would also play by the same rules, under the rare circumstance they choose to use an agent rather than outright corrupting them.

Why don't you think that?

Or rather, why do you think a "mad" - which means someone that does not care about anything except achieving their goals, including the health of their test subjects - scientist would be a good person to have in control of your life?
