Then another Grey Jedi would be there to look after him. Not the orders interests. Not their own interests. They would be looking out for a friend.
Thing is, even with friends, some people still can't recover or stay the same after all that.
Also, even if something doesn't happen to change their mindset, people of the same ideology still find reasons for conflict with each other.
It is certainly better than the current system, but to act like it will put an end to the conflict is wrong.
Possibly, but at least with Grey Jedi you won't have stupid rhetoric like the "get over it" Jedi or "Let it all out... IN RAGE" Sith. I mean, the Jedi Order (and the Imperium of Man) seem to haemorrhage its best and brightest to the forces of chaos because of its strict compliance to a codex, without regard for the individual.
Many battles in the universe simply wouldn't have happened if this were the case (and, at their root, were caused because of this rhetoric).

Either way I do plan on making a Sangheili character with a story of some sort to it.
They're supposed to be a warrior race, right? Could they have different clans or factions that fought alongside different groups?
Prepare for hell on RuneScape in
Naval Cataclysm!
Pokemon battle? Friend Code: 4614-0426-2439

Yep, they are a huge warrior race.
And they are divided into clans. However, the Sangheli homeworld is pretty much completely loyal to the Covenant. The Heretics in this thread are based off of a Sangheli unit in Halo 2 that discovered Halo's true purpose, and rebelled, but were quickly put down by the Arbiter, although obviously here they are still around. Then there's Shipmaster Let 'Volir, who took his ship and deserted the Covenant to join the Banished. But none of these individuals' clans actually followed them.
It wasn't until the Great Schism, where the Prophets tried to commit genocide on their race, that the Sangheli actually broke away completely, and allied with the humans in Halo 3. After the war with the Covenant ended, the Arbiter went back to lead Sanghelios, but many clans still believed in The Great Journey and rejected his leadership, causing a civil war.
Lorewise, I don't know of any Sangheli clans that full-on rejected the Great Journey up until the Great Schism.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

If you take Halo:legends as cannon, they're just weird japanese-alien samarai people who live by the blade and spend their spare time cutting banzai trees.
