Hello.
I am back, the trip went way better and way faster than expected. Drove with my dad all the way to Surrey, about 600 klm to get there. We bought a new car in cash, a Nissan Murano, which did have 240 klm but it still was in excellent shape. Negotiated a deal, bought it for a total of 5520 CDN after taxes, in cash, rather than $6900. A very good car for its price and abilities, and it even has a navigation system.
However, our old Subaru Legacy, while I drove it back homeward while my dad drove his new car, got into trouble, as our Subaru's piping that led to the exhaust suddenly broke and fell out, so the front half leaned into the direction the car drove, so it was constantly grinding and clipping against the road. I drove for two hours like that, until I started smelling fire, so we decided to pull over, and leave it at a gas station somewhere along the road out of town limits.
We'll be soon driving back to the Subaru to drive it back home or something, we plan to use steel fencing wire to tie the pipe up against the car or something, to make it safer to drive, then see what we can do.
