My personal theory is that the darkness is an illusion, and the sun isn't really gone. Without the sun, the planet would become incapable of supporting life. Because the sun doesn't just produce light and warmth. Trees and plantlife need it to survive, and if there is no vegetation, there is no food or oxygen. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

No, twilight implies there is still some degree of light.

I'm suggesting that the 'darkness' is actually a magical barrier, that blocks out the sun's light, but still allows the rays that keep the planet warm and give us energy to pass through.

Anyways, all my bios are completed on Scions. Joric's bio is up, and Gareth is a militia merchant with a crapload of income, instead of a highly trained infantryman with a bit of side cash.

A lot more wealth, but a lot less training.
