Ancient's character Salvatore went to the cape with a few guards, awaiting a pirate attack. Ancient is less active, so role-playing in his locale may be suitable for those who post less often.
Generally, yes, I post a prologue (a dream sequence to foreshadow the future) and then intro characters to get them going with the role-play easier, but users are allowed to intro their own characters too. The prologue is important as it provides hints for the finale of the first world, but anyone's allowed to intro their own character if they wish.
Annie did indeed overspend, though when I talked to her about it, she did not seem to want to remove a skill. Instead, I decided that her character will not be able to spend points until she completes the third quest, which will bring her up to a sixth point.
West,
You can watch whatever you want.
Maybe characters in the future isn't a good idea. Maybe characters in a future location would be better, such as the Divided City, or the mighty castle that has appeared in the prologues/dream sequences. But yes, I do want to drive the plot, yet at the same time, I want users to be free to create their own adventure if they wish, though that means more work for them.
You're right, my NPCs tend to not be good guys that often, maybe they're getting stale. I did plan on a more grey scale, such as Salvatore's antagonist being a war cleric, who is technically holy, yet intends to kill someone who has angel magic. But yes, I agree with your points, I do intend Scions to be more story-driven and more developed this time.
Hopefully, my sense of humor won't kill the thread.
Anyways, tomorrow will be my second day helping my mom move things to her new place, so I will be busy for up to half the day tomorrow.
