Hm, most users seem to have dissolved, for now. I don't know if it was because of my bios for The Koray, if the community is lacking motivation or energy, not having any more interest in the usual fantasy setting, or if real-life is just really busy. Personally, I speculate users are just not eager in the typical fantasy themes and environments we are all so used to.
So, I think we all need to be involved in something we
want
to be part of, and that we
want
to role-play in, that we
want
to work on, yet at the same time, be connected to our character. But by different, I mean seriously different, and seriously weird, yet
relatable to our lives
. After all, art needs to relate to real-life in some way!
My next idea is to be something like a comic book hero role-play, but not as in pages and pictures, but with comic book-like characters. The features I base this are from franchises such as Spawn, Shadowman, Doom, Hellraiser, and Batman.
The idea is like this: every user intros as a human character, such as a cop, mobster, soldier in the Middle East, terrorist, or what have you. This first phase deals with the user eventually killing-off one's own character while introducing a villain of some sort in relation to that character. The character dies, goes to hell, suffers, and Hellmouth grants the character a chance: sell one's soul to him, in exchange for being brought back to the world as a fresh demon, to avenge one's death, or save further victims from one's villain/killer, or what have you, BUT hell will basically screw over the character. This way, each user is responsible for having a character as well as the character's nemesis; other users can also role-play as a character's nemesis/villain.
Any thoughts on this dark, superhero-like idea?
