Is there anything about alchemy and enchantments in Scions of Sorcery, Azi? I was thinking of making a goblin or dwarf working towards making a perfect suit of armour through smithing techniques and the study of potions and magic. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

Ancient,
There is enchanting in Scions, it's mentioned just under Supernatural Abilities I think. Enchanting works at tier 2 of any kind of magic, and the enchantments can be applies to items, weapons, shields, mounts, and so on.

Alchemy was something I thought about, but decided not to bother. Alchemy, historically, was just trying to transform metal into gold, but the modern fantasy view of alchemy is the creation of weird potions and stuff, but I consider that closer to wizardry or witchcraft in a medieval sense (speaking of which, I should mention those). Additionally, since gunpowder already exists, I felt no need for alchemy; why make an exploding potion when you already have cannons, clay grenades (there are 13th century European manuscripts depicting knights throwing grenades; the Byzantines, various Middle Eastern peoples, and East Asian peoples also have bombs but at a earlier time), and gunpowder-based explosions already. I will mention alchemy soon in the generic magics section.

Delta,
Yes, it seems that that sudden explosion of spam way back is slowly dying. Personally, I think mods should be able to outright remove threads, as if they already dropped off the forum completely.

There's something else I've been thinking of, about Ieromancy. You said that any form of evil action causes the magic to leave until they repent right? This got me thinking.

1. Is it possible for a fallen Ieromancer to turn to Mavromancy?

2. What happens if an Ieromancer gets caught up in a conspiracy without realising it, and all their actions and orders were carried out out of the good in their hearts anyway?

3. Can Mavromancers keep their dark powers if they redeem themselves and turn to Ieromancy?

These three things made me think up another story for the RP. If none of these are possible, I'll just go ahead with forming my armour making plot.

1 No, users cannot change their chosen abilities, unless the character already has abilities in both ieromancy and mavromancy if they choose, or if additional points are acquired and spent in either ability. If such is the case, they have both metamorphoses and all the abilities each side brings.

2 It only applies to deliberate evil. If it was unintentional, it is forgiven. If it was carried out of good will, it will also be forgiven, but redemption may be required.

3 No, unless both abilities are chosen upon character creation, or if gained points are spent into the other ability.
