Hey guys, as much as I currently feel like it (I'm sick), I'm not dead... Yet. It looks like all the threads I was a part of earlier have died, and I dunno yet if I plan to join more right now, but I did wanna stop in and say sorry if my absence led to the demise of anyone's thread. Also to say hey.

Fair warning for those who haven't tried American sweets (especially chocolate), apparently most other countries seem to have much less sugar (or, let's face it, high fructose corn syrup), in their candy than us 'Muricans. Like, *way* less. I've seen a few YouTube videos of non-American people trying our candy (usually milk chocolate Hershey's, heh), and being appalled by the taste and unable to get the alarming sweetness away.
So, armed with that knowledge, try our candy and make sure you have milk nearby as it's essentially the only good thing with which to clear your mouth.

(We have plenty of candy, but the only Hershey's chocolate we ever seem to import is a diet cookies and cream bar that tastes worse than the cheapest brand we can already buy... and that brand doesn't even make real chocolate.
)
We got some brands of Doritos though, so I figure it's worth holding out hope.

chocolate?! What is that even made with?! Like, I know Hershey's here has a cookies and cream (or as they spell it, "Cookies 'N' Creme) bar, but it's not diet. Might still be worse than your cheapest bar though, I wouldn't know, haha. But yeah, apparently trying American candy is a thing for people who, like me, were not born and raised in the U.S.
