Lazorax is the demon who rules Heretus as of this moment, and Judeccus' father. I will write a Fanfiction on it when I can, but I will say this; both Lazorax and Judeccus are cheats. The Chthonian race of demons have courts and laws to make deals and contracts with, and a lot of their deeds are frowned upon if not illegal. Both of them will bend the rules and situations as far as they will go. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

Ah yes, I think I recall something about that. I could have just reread your first posts in the RP, now that I think about it. But ya, if you have much more content backing up content thus far, don't expect me to remember all of it, so you'll have to be ready to re-post it when you must. I don't see it happening anytime soon, but if Inferi does not post within a few days or so, I will continue Negotius' adventure to the sunken temple. Besides, after dealing with Chaos, it'll open up to a HUB, allowing the users to teleport wherever they want, so they could join any other group or characters then.

I know Annie will lecture me for not posting, but I’ve begun fleshing out a thread – a dark fantasy where kingdoms of Dwarfs, Humans and Elves are about to be invaded by the 72 legions of a continent known as Hell. These kingdoms and races have harboured animosity for years, but must now band together to fight the demon plot.

One of the selling points (I think) about this idea is the animosity and different ideologies of magic in this fantasy setting – Dwarfs find it useful, but cannot channel it. Elves can channel it but cannot store it within their own bodies and suffer magic deficiency without a source of it. Humans, with females of the species being especially gifted, can Channel and Store large amounts of magic, but cannot capitalise on this ability because of their soul, which gives them innate magical resistance.

Naturally, Humans hate all forms of magic, Elves can’t live without it and Dwarfs are pretty indifferent (or, as I like to think about it, pragmatic).

For times of great crisis, however, the ancient Dwarfs developed a forge that can remove one’s soul – reforming it into a tool of great power. This tool can be used to bind the soulless (aka. A witch) to a champion – creating a potent two person team to throw against the demons. Of course, in a surprise twist, this very same forge created the demons in a similar way long ago.

Will your character be the one to rally the kingdoms against the demons, or merely watch as they topple?

Personally, I'm wondering if the idea is a little too complicated for a one page thread. Not only are we thrown into a new setting, we also have rules for this setting outside of the usual "whatever goes" - which might impact on creative freedom. And, lets face it, I haven't written a plot for years. O_o

Why is magic sexist?

First option sounds like your typical fantasy plot, which I'm up for. Second option would make for a pretty boring RP. I suggest that instead you give us an option to side with the demons - maybe the incentive is that there is some sort of secret ritual that can turn you into a half demon, or something? I don't know.

Because.

I don't think the second option is that mundane. There are very few stories (that I know of) that take place as society breaks down, all the while the protagonists in question have little to offer the war effort.

And about witches being half demons... well, I was thinking of Demons as sort of ascended witches - witches who have slaughtered their champion, implanted their own corrupted soul within their bodies and lived to tell the tale. This, of course, makes them incredibly potent magic users - and, naturally, incredibly insane.

Of course, the level of insanity depends on the character. I'd imagine some Demons are entirely rational thinkers, while some merely exhibit blood rage between sleeping hours. Some fight for wholesale slaughter, while several fight the bloody revolution to put a bottle of mead in everyone's hand.

If, despite that, you still find it wise to serve a demon, then it maybe interesting to do so.

How does that sound? (I'm still prototyping, so suggestions are welcome)
