Dormoor - The most beautiful ******* people you're ever going to meet m8

Tanik - Home of the Goeraks. Located in Nepal. They used to be all tribal and whatnot until one Goerak managed to unite them. Still technologically inferior. They values strength but not war.

Londer - The giants. Located in Northern India. Pretty chill. They enjoy farming and crafting but don't care much about war.

Mountains of Home - The **ivoths. Located in the Himalayas (very northern tip of India, next to Nepal.) The nation is made up of heavily divided tribes. One dude calls himself king, and is trying to unite everybody. He's pretty chill. The rest are brutes.

Balan Republic - Used to be a warlike monarchy, but that was cast aside in favor of a diplomatic republic. Some dudes still value strength in combat, but meh. Also pretty chill. Oh, they are mostly human.

Republic Osgalethe - Not an actual republic. They have a whole mash up of races - humans, dwarves, birdmen, elves. Located in the Phillipines. They practice slavery and value comedy. They can kind of be ***** at times, apparently.

The Skavier Alliance - Consists of humans. Sort of like vikings, minus the merciless murder, ****, and pillaging and more about art. So not like vikings. They're an oligarchy with three leaders. Located in central Russia along the coast.

Adren - Another pretty chill farming nation. Sort of like a monarchy, the title 'Stonelord' used instead of king. He has advisers. Value loyalty, honour, and stability, but 80% of the above nations value those or something similar to those as well. Located in North and Western Kazakhstan.

Kingdom of Rournic* - Some dude decided: "Hey, **** owning a business." He then proceeded to buy a bunch of mercenaries and conquer stuff. Much of their army today consists of mercenaries, and they are in a conquering mood once again. Located in Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and parts of South and west Kazakhstan.

*Ahem*

Our story starts off in Sorus,
Their armies needed a use,
So they conquered four nations,
Spent a decade in celebration,

They went down to Dormoor,
Then the bodies hit the floor,
Dwarves showed them the door,
The men cried: "No more!"

A congress was held,
in which the dwarf king yelled,
"We must **** up Sorus!"
"Everythin' else is no use!"

In came the giants of Londor,
Didn't want to be like Gondor,
Offered to give some supplies,
On which dwarves could rely,

Adren took this news in stride,
But time they must bide,
Take some time to spy,
Make sure they won't die,

Rournic* be playin' both sides,
Stand for or against the tide?
Their mercenaries are fearless,
But their people cheerless,

Sorus decided to do some scouting,
Making Goeraks start doubting,
Pretty soon tensions will rise,
When they look each other in the eyes,

Balan Republic be ballin',
But Sorus has come callin',
Council must take their pick,
Please don't be a ****,

The **ivoths be fighting all day,
The conflict is really quite Gray,
Not quite a civil war,
But what are they fighting for?

Skaviers be up in the north,
The conflict just isn't worth,
All the soldiers who would die,
and make their families cry,

Then there is Osgalethe,
They aren't quite obsolete,
Gonna be here any day,
Then they'll give their say,

Kingdoms be goin' to war,
This ain't gonna be a bore,
But when the fight is resolved,
What will have been solved?

I DID IT EVERYONE
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Emo, what are you doing?

The whole point of the meeting is to discuss how to handle the Sorusians. Why is your character coming in to deliver some long speech about Osgalethe's slavery?

Thanks for the feedback Corb, I’ll respond to every point as best I can. I was even thinking about introducing the raiders solely with an arrival, and then wait before doing anything; I had a feeling I should have done that instead!

1 The Gray wearing the alpha skeleton as armour was intended to allude that that alpha was from the attacked tribe; the female thought she smelled him and went out to look for him, having thought he died somewhere, somehow; how the alpha died is ambiguous.

2 Oh right, I forgot about grappling. I suppose I can mumble that the Grays’ horns were in the way, and the prospect of blades slashing into bellies would have been of some concern.

3 As a historian, I have read historic accounts of swords loping off several legs in one go, beheading three people in one slash, cutting off a horse’s lower jaw, beheading an ox in one swipe, splitting a man vertically from the head down to the waist, and modern demonstrations when a single swing cuts through three dead pigs in one go. Even a powerfully muscular limb would be no exception.

For example, look up “Chinese War Sword : Cold Steel Swords” on YouTube and you’ll see how good two-handed curved swords can be. I’* pretty sure several inches thick of nylon rope is more resistant than flesh!

4 Some did stand idle and die though. However, I think that adrenaline would conquer tribal rules and expectations given enough pressure.

5 Anything larger than a gorilla or bear would be unlikely to climb a tree; too heavy. I did not expect a “climb and pounce” tactic.

6 Considering the massive size and weight, I did not expect Goeracks would have much stamina, considering house cats cannot fight for more than twenty seconds before becoming tired; I did not think Goeracks had vast stamina. Perhaps they already fought off other intruders a while ago?
