Planet, maybe? They should probably just accept fate and nuke the planet and then still have to deal with the 4 leaders because apparently only the leaders can kill each other
I just play FFXIV at this point. DC: Crystal

Oh, and before I forget again, Annie, you mentioned Annie going after Chaos' heart, hoping to freeze it, however, the heart has already been destroyed by Amelia's magic after Mary broke it open, and then the "fire of the heart" was then frozen over by a Blue Fire knight. As such, Annie casting more freezing magic over the icebound heart is rather redundant, and would potentially attack Amelia in her shadow-serpent form. It would be far more advantageous to cast Blue Pyromancy magic at the brain or the arms, or somehow aid or strengthen Amelia's constricting of Chaos' spine.

I was thinking they'd be [billionaires] ... with dead parents...

(We should totally make them related to japanese ninjas or carnies)

I figure adding an age gap of ... 3-4 years ... would make ... more like puppy love.

The aspect I'll likely aim for is "I don't care who or what you are, nothing is going to hurt you" - no matter what you do, they will always be on your side.

I figure ... the character ... [will] probably be male.

How does that sound?

EDIT: I know it sounds a bit cheesy, but maybe your character could be the Cancer to his/her Capricorn?

Does anyone do astrology for their characters?

How does this sound:

Maybe just multi-millionaires. Though money makes things easy, being a billionaire would trivialize. Though this begs the question of how our parents got their millions. Founding a company? Making an invention? Inherited it from longer ago? Then, how do we relate to the wealth. If it's a company, are either of us in line to become ceo? Are we just going to inherit the money and let someone else handle it? What would be in our parents' will? And why would two young multimillionaires go to a 15,000 person town, as that's likely not their hometown considering their wealth.

millionaire ninjas? why not give them supernatural powers?

Also, considering their wealth, they likely went to private high school/college unless our parents are particularly idealistic; this would definitely influence both our characters' personalities.

Concerning family athletics, as long as we don't overemphasize competition, I'm okay with that. Though we might be the type of family that does falconry for fun. :P

Okay, wasn't originally quite sure where you were headed, but I like your idea better. If you'd rather have a character around 20 years old instead of 18/19 to better fit into the average age range, I'd be totally willing to be 23-25, unless you like being the odd one out. :P

One question you should think about is how your character would react to when I inevitably try and pull you into the conflict, especially when I put myself in harm's way by way of vampires or other werewolves. How would a normal think they could protect a super from themself or another super?

Considering the duality I'll discuss below, male might be better. Also, who said guys can't be pretty? :P

I've honestly never considered zodiac for character concepts, but it's actually a neat idea, especially considering a thread with supernatural themes. At first I didn't think it would work, but after reading it over, I'm starting to like it a lot. I'll definitely need to read more on those two signs, but I think it'll be interesting how they have similarities in the importance of family, but different ways of approaching that. I think this would point to your character taking more interest in the wealth of the family to keep us living comfortably, while my character taking more interest in keeping us happy in other ways. Thus, I think my character's college education probably isn't geared toward whatever made our family rich.

Ooh, it would be cool to see that each race is slightly stronger during different stages of the lunar cycle, actually. Or weaker, or experience side effects in some way. Like, vamps get slightly buffed during new moon, werewolves during full moon, and champs/team 4 for the waxing and waning quarter moons?

Y'see, this would be a great idea, but then it would require the coordination of both players and thread master to keep track of the lunar calendar, and thus a normal calendar, and I've personally never found timekeeping to be an easy thing in roleplays.

Blah blah What are parents? How does money?

Blah Blah MANLY boys are pretty.

I should punish everyone involved by making said character a wholesome cross dresser.

As for a cover story? Maybe they were on the road visiting old friends, maybe a family friend who took them in after their parents died. As for what they inherited... maybe a weapons company? (*cough* Wayne Enterprises *cough* Queen Industries)

There is nothing normal about the character I have in mind - the way they will snap, your character could ask for someone to die and the little sibling would simply ask "how many?" I do agree they may share lasky's concerns that their sister is marching to another tune to their death - but so long as they're with their big sis, everything will be okay.

This isn't your run of the mill snarky character with ooc common sense - they have serious unresolved issues. So much so that they may become a valid love interest. Lets face it, girls love dark and troubled guys.

The basic idea was to create a hunter of monsters who was a monster themselves. The difference is that this monster doesn't have claws, magic or a big damn sword - they'll win through merit of not being seen as a player on the board. These creatures are strong, but hopefully not unbeatable.

That said, this is my prototype character - an attempt at "badass normal". I have several cool ideas for a champion which would be a little less... dark, which would create some great friction.
