You've got yer wood elves and dark elves and high elves, and there's some more specific ones like "Snow elves" or whatever but ultimately I think the first three sum up the main ones. Also half-elves.

I've been out of the RP world way too long to be the one giving insight into this someone halp


Edit: I do the same thing, Inferi! So I saw it as well but didn't call it out since you just did. Also, as a biased description of the races, VAMPIRES FTW and all other weak puny wanna-bes

Ah, now you see my problem! Those are the three ones I've got, then I thought snow and sea elf. But like you say, those are the weird niche ones people liked to include in lists but I don't think anyone ever played a sea elf ever. Or even defined what a sea elf was beyond, "they sail sometimes." Hags be hagglin', gods be god damn crazy, it's all happening ogre at Into The Fire

Orcs are only elves in The Elder Scrolls world, I think.

EDIT: The type of elves really depends on the world, I'd say. There's dark elves, moon elves, wood elves, high elves, sea elves, winged elves, night elves, etc. etc. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

No, but I think as "basic" elf varieties go, those three are about it. Unless we're talking Elder Scrolls.
