Try 1:

Anja glanced over at Annie's inert form, before glancing back up towards the window. Left with little time, she ripped apart the bed, the curtains - even the shirt of the ambiguous black hand member chilling in the corner. With all these shards of cloths, she created a rope like an elf, tying it around Annie's ankles before safely lowering her feathery light form to the ground.

Try 2:

Anja lifted Annie's inert form to the pole, suddenly seeing the glaring issue before her - Annie would not slide along the pole so much as fall into the alley below. Instead, she used her light elven form to chuck Annie onto the next rooftop - like an elf. Which is to say, very delicately.

How many colours might an elf smear as they hit the ground? Well, we maybe about to find out.

As you can see, I'm presently stuck in the trial stages of this post. Not to say it can't or won't be done; just that Anja hasn't seen the solution yet.

Typically being a subject is the only role they have. Some people would probably look at him a bit odd if he took menial tasks as well, but if he asked there probably wouldn't be any reason for them to say he couldn't.

So it's fine, I just needed to be know for certain which it was going to be.


2 is the logical one. If they're still in the burning building, there's no time to make a rope from anything. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

I'm under oath not to kill Annie's character - unless taking two story tumbles is normal for an Elf. Which it might well be - different physiology and all that.

Though I'm wondering about another idea - Does Annie still have her bow and arrows?
