I never heard of an old lady fighting robbers who had sledgehammers, though if that is true, it's quite impressive. Thanks for sharing this story.
Angel, I can still hear/read of the heroes through other mediums online. I will have to rephrase my comments from now on so that people don't take it explicitly. Did anyone else notice, that extraordinarily brave citizens who take action against terrorists, are often not in major media outlets? Why isn't Alexandre Migues (if you don't know this name by now, this proves my previous point) on national television throughout the world and receiving a medal for his bravery? Despite facing a terrorist, a gun, and a big truck, he chose to overcome the dangers. The French police were too cowardly to do anything about the driver who killed eighty or more people, they only took action after several brave citizens jumped onto the truck and beat-up the driver.
This means that, the brave citizens who did not politely ask the driver to stop while he was running people over, who chose not to embrace and love him, preformed assault against him, and did something about it, and beat him up, allowing the police to later come and finish the problem. The citizens who did that did not receive recognition, or honours, or medals, or glory.
In response to terrorism, citizens have taken chalk and are writing “love” on sidewalks. To those are who are concerned, be sure to draw “love” on sidewalks at every opportunity, to better defeat terrorism.
