I wonder if brazenly trying to murder a man in the middle of Varrock, while guards are already rushing onto the scene and dozens of people are witness, is a rash idea.
Ramsay Bolton is the king we deserve.

I'm just saying. Many of the protagonists' closest friends all end up dead. It's very unnecessary, too.
Like, why did they have to wipe out the Myreque, for example?
Well the real answer is that Jagex don't know how else to resolve a storyline, but I'm not sure if that's the answer you're wanting.
Sometimes they write characters that are actually interesting. And it really frustrates me that they can't just live in peace.
Like, someone at Jagex literally woke up one day and said: "Oh, Bandos is dead? He had ties to a quest series that was totally resolved seven years ago and needs no continuation. Let's dig that series back up and kill its most prominent and well liked character for no reason!"

They've never cared before. Why would they start now?

Do Freedom of Speech and Religion mean nothing to you?

I don't understand your implication. The king has fallen ill and the gracious Sir Amik Varze has stepped up to bear the burden of statesmanship in his absence.
The king already has an heir in Burthope, making claims of legitimacy invalid even if this were a powerplay by the white knights. The Burthope Guard are also independent of the White knights, and it's unlikely they would let the prince die under their care (since he's the only official who really cares about the threat to Burthope)
That's only because the White Knights have cut off ties with Burthorpe. They'd let the entire town be overrun by trolls, if only to end the last threat to their rule. The Prince's claim IS valid; the White Knights just won't accept it because technically the King isn't dead yet.
