For a character on Into the Fire, I was basically thinking of a reworked version of my old character Azim who got a little adventuring experience under his belt, and a little bit more confident of a personality. While self doubt is okay for an adventurer every once in a while, doubting yourself constantly isn't healthy in the adventuring business. Although I had that planned in my head, this aspect of his personality never really got to show its face, as I made 1 post with him. This irresponsible behavior is what I'm trying to avoid with me figuring out my life before posting a bio.
However, the bigger problem I had with him was that I didn't know how magic functioned in your world and how he fit into that equation. I also feel as if he had a rather vague "spell list," but I don't really know if that's even how magic works in Engelain. Another problem was that while I had a potential thought for why he couldn't cast spells, I never worked it out with you behind the scenes, so I felt like I would be overstepping my boundaries of I were to explain how magic functions/doesn't with Azim.
Another thought was that while I originally wrote him to be weak, I feel he was too underpowered. While this is to be expected due to some characters having lived through 2 previous threads, I felt like a literal adventuring newbie would be entirely out of his league and out of place in a party of seasoned adventurers. Depending on how much time has passed since the beginning of the thread and how much more powerful the other characters have gotten, he could become a touch stronger.
Of course, all of these things should be discussed sometime before I post a new bio, which should be not a short while. And if I change my mind, I could always play a swordsman or something.

I never really understood the appeal of Zamorak. I know Saradomin is only the god of order, not of good, but how is absolute chaos better?
