Annie, your characters needs to be demonic, that's it. You may take inspiration from your favorite things you enjoy, demons are a common feature in games, movies, cartoons, or what have you.

OK, I will first do Emo's introductory quest and attempt to get the Inquisition involved, and then add something for Gwen's scenario for you to work with. Give me some time to preform these two things.

I'd... actually disagree with this. While most Krogan were indeed intent on having their high-recoil shotguns, there were a few oddballs (like Clan Urdnot in Mass Effect 2) who were more interested in other things. Like protecting the food storage using explosive ordnance precise enough to accurately hit speeding space simians - even with a complete newbie at the controls.

To put this in context, this impressed Garrus Vakarian. O_o

Well, I figured that an exposition on how she came to get her power, as well as why her personality is the way it is, would be a lot more informative than some random event that doesn't describe much of anything about her.

As for designing a scenario for her, I'm fine with that. Just keep in mind that she's someone that tries not to get involved with events - and doesn't really care about much in the world - unless she has to do something specific in order to get enough money to eat.

I'd imagine that she wouldn't be well-received much of anywhere, since she doesn't really look human even without the tail and wings showing. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

...Maybe that is how she can get involved. The rest of the characters, concerned for her weird money-eating habits, call My Strange Addiction to help out. Because nothing says "I care about you!" like having a TV show broadcast her embarrassing problem (that might not even be solved) to the world. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Well, the local Archdemon is an avid fan of the show. And since this is their first episode to ever feature one of his demonic brethren, he just had to get up to watch it. And also to personally meet her and wish her luck in overcoming her problem. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

I was thinking of getting Amelia involved with child demons, who stumble upon her, who just want to play and explore with her. Rather than adventure through the realm of war and chaos, she could embark on a much gentler path, unconnected from the main events. But we'll see what happens. And I better stop procrastinating and get Emo's intro quest done.
