To be honest, the levelling system was poorly implemented.

"What? You want to do this quest that is hugely important to the lore? No, no... you must spend 20 hours growing crops first." Still, between Penguin Hunter, Sorceress Garden, That Other Farming Minigame, and Tears of Guthix, it shouldn't be that hard.

I remember the Salt in the Wound quest. I spent hours and millions of gold getting the necessary summoning requirement... and not once in that quest did I actually need to summon something. Also the quest was extremely disappointing.

Basically, my plan is:

Farming - Rely on mini-games and Distractions/Diversions.
Summoning - Use all the Divination energy on Summoning xp.
Magic - Alchemy for a profit.
Thieving - Sorceress Garden
Agility, Hunter, and Mining - The old fashioned way.

If it makes you feel any better, Salt in the Wound is one of the most disliked quests in Runescape history.

And of course, Runescape talk always makes me want to revisit my idea of hosting a Runescape thread. For years I was told no one would care, because for a Runescape forum the RPers were very anti-Runescape. I think there's a better climate for it now, but I've been holding out in hope that Westenev would release his.

At any rate, yesterday I looked at ITF and realised I hadn't posted in ages. I thought it had only been a few days. My bad guys, I'll get to that now.

I think Arran is a brilliant character for a god, and it would be cool to explore learning more about him, where he came from that everybody was against the gods, his representation with respect to the common men and as a political force, and maybe some sort of initiative to try to free him, etc etc.

Also, if you decide to canonise Annie, I think she could be somehow linked, like a clueless female seer who talks about herself in third-person, or his child wife left over since those times and made immortal by Soahc's trickery, or something. I dunno why I think they should be linked; maybe I got twigged on "Arran and Annie."

It was Laser Gunk's idea, originally.
