I don't know anything about community RPs, so I dunno what to say about it, but it looks like a cool idea.

I thought that creating scenarios wasn't godmoding? In Into the Fire, Angel did set-up scenarios in a similar fashion, so I modeled it based off that and what I saw. Chaser's "quest" has two choices, the Tower of Babel, or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, as well as freely doing whatever he wishes to finish the quest, even manipulating the characters involved. That is why I use words like "may" or "perhaps" or "potentially" or "possibly" because I don't mean to sound fixed, but I instead provide possibilities. The only stipulation is that Glenn must survive the quest.

Oh, and before I forget, if anyone would prefer to instead forge their character's quest their own way, or provide me with a basis of some kind, that's acceptable too, just mention it here in this sticky.

Ok, Azi, my mistake, I am raising an issue about it because I am curious about what a TM can get away with, since I am running a thread of my own. I think it's been five months since I joined this eclectic group of Rpers, prior to this, I have never joined an RP in my life, so I am curious - can a TM godmod to create situations and choices? Is it really godmodding? If so, is it something a TM should do? If not, then question answered, I guess. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

You are correct that creating scenarios is not godmodding. That's what you're supposed to do as a TM. What I believe was being referred to there was you taking control of the character, which Chaser has already said is fine by them so there's no real harm here. As TM, the general stipulation of people being part of you RP is that you don't control their characters at all, allowing them to do everything that relates to that character, and technically you violated that when you made Glenn speak.

That's really the extent of the godmodding right there, and, like I said, there's no harm since the person didn't mind.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Yeah, I'm not worried, it definitely makes things flow a bit smoother, and I'm all for that!

Since you're kickin' about, Azi, question for you: How far do you want me to take my next post? Getting supplies, leaving town, arriving at my chosen location, anything in between? I probably won't post until after West, because I don't want to sneak away before Gwen can kinda catch up (if that's the intent).

The thread master, in my mind, creates scenarios, happenings, events, situations or similar things to implement into the RP. The limitation is that thread masters besides me are limited to five posts or five events, and afterwards, carry on until the next arch demon is slain, and then the next thread master is selected/achieved. If this is godmoding, then yes, it is allowed. I don't know if it is really godmoding though. I think it is something thread masters should do, as different views and styles can help diversify the RP.

OK, thanks for the clarifications Inferni, I will update my thread accordingly.

Currently, I think Glenn should be able to at least get things and leave his area, and then head to either location of your choosing. If you prefer a quicker or simpler route, you can simply go something like, “After three days, Glenn reached his destination without any problems.” Alternatively, I suppose Glenn could finish his quest, and then meet up with Gwen, or she stumbles upon him at a later time.
