OK, I just started typing out Gwen's quest, hopefully, this time there won't be any godmoding. I will be a bit busy today, via arguing and yelling with my dad as usual, and then I'll help my mom out, so I may only finish sometime alter tonight.

Oh right, and speaking of Glenn, should Gwen and Glenn meet before he leaves, or afterwards? Since Gwen is on the southern third, and Glenn up north-east passed the Crusader States and Romans, Gwen won't be able to meet him anytime soon unless Glenn decides to wait. He has three months, which would be enough time for Gwen to meet up with him. I'll wait for farther discussion.

I personally don't care. I'll be sending Glenn to the Tower, and he'd probably head out as soon as he was done gathering things, considering he doesn't have any further business in town. I suppose they could meet somewhere in the middle!

But, and not to toot my own horn, but Glenn will probably be halfway up the tower before Gwen can get around to finding him. :P

OK, perfect! You get started on Glenn's duty, and I'll try to direct Gwen towards his locale. Remember: you are free to utilize Abdul after he describes the devil-worshipper's appearance (optional, as you can instead send Abdul to the Hanging Gardens if you don't want to use him, as he may not know where the target is), the spies, and Glenn's abilities in however way you please to get passed the Tower's guards and golems. Abdul's fate, and those involved, are up to you.

Also, you are free to form additional side-stories or villains, such as the target summoning a demon out to kill Glenn, acolytes chasing after Glenn, wild animals appearing, a dragon swooping from the sky, or what have you, if you'd like.

So... Seven archdemons...

And if you kill an archdemon, it can possess fellow demons and live on that way...

Huh...

What does this remind me of?

Anyways, Azi, is there any chance I could create a faction that isn't comprised of demons? Basically, I'm thinking a super militant religious order dedicated to wiping out all demons. It will be relatively widespread, with forts and garrisons in numerous countries. Thoughts?

I don't know if you've already made a faction like this. I've only skimmed the first two pages of the thread so far.

Seven arch demons, akin to the Seven Princes of hell in Christianity, as well as what happens in Diablo.

Yes, you can form a faction like that if you'd like, but you may have to clarify its headquarters location in the world, as well as its religion/ideology, and mention how popular or infamous it is. There is no prompt to create a faction, so you'll form it as a short story, narrative, or description. It will have similar guidelines in regards to minor characters, to allow thread masters to explore the faction. The extent of its influence should be explained, too.

So far, only the Holy See is similar to such a faction, and the Golden Shahanshah's inhabitants tend to be anti-demon as well, but not the Hashashim's Guild, which is secular.

That wouldn't matter, because Gwen would bust through the front door and still probably make it to the top quicker than Glenn. ;)

Alright, here it is:

Their strongest chapter is on the Northern Continent, headed by a Grand Inquisitor who resides within The Grand Citadel. Their primary headquarters is based in The Gothic Kingdom, and they have other outposts and forts scattered throughout. They also have garrisons among the Northerners and the Hellenic, and have spies within the Roman Empire (that area seems pretty pro-demon, so I figured they wouldn't have an obvious presence but would still want to keep an eye on it.)

The next chapter is on The Golden Continent, headed by an Inquisitor. They have a fairly large base of operations within the Golden Shahansha, as well as numerous other forts and outposts there. Probably their weakest branch.

The third chapter is in on The Eastern Continent, also headed by an Inquisitor. That chapter's primary headquarters can be found within The Shogunate. They have a strong presence here, with numerous other fortresses and outposts scattered throughout. They also maintain a strong presence within The Imperial Dynasty.

Each chapter recruits locally, and each chapter is mostly independent but they must still answer to The Grand Inquisitor. They are open to magic that isn't demonic in origin, but will limit their practice of it as much as possible if their region is against all magic in general, more to maintain ties than anything else. They try to avoid getting involved in local politics, as they are just there to kill demons.

Opinions of them will vary, since they think all demons need to be destroyed, even the good ones. Some regions may also mistrust them, since they are a fairly large and somewhat fanatical standing army. As for religion, since they recruit locally most of their members will adhere to the local religion. If that local religion happens to be anti-demon, then they actively encourage their members to worship it, and will use it as both a recruitment and motivation device.

Azi, do you mind if I add another ability for Zephiran. I was thinking that maybe he could zoom his vision, like a hawk, so that he can find kinks in armor from a distance. I'm sure you can guess how useful this ability would be for Zephiran. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)
